ORGANIC TURMERIC (CURCUMA), (Curcuma longa)
plant native to India, herbaceous with large leaves growing at the base of the soil. Its rhizome has been used as a spice, textile dye and remedy since ancient times. Golden yellow in colour, it is a key ingredient in curry and was imported to Central Europe and Greece under the name "Yellow Ginger". Its essential oil is full of spicy, woody and fresh fragrances.
