Cocoa butter (Butyrospermum parkii)

Product from controlled organic farming, BE-BIO-01 control
Country of origin: Dominican Republic

Usage

This pure cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids, polyphenols, natural vitamin E, theobromine, caffeine.

It is a nourishing and softening active ingredient. It is suitable when dealing with dry, mature and wrinkled skin. Cocoa butter becomes solid at room temperature. It is therefore best used as a balm or as an ingredient in an emulsion.

Balm: melt a variable amount of cocoa butter, up to 80%, in vegetable oil heated in a double boiler. It is easy to combine with anti-aging vegetable oils, such as argan, rosehip or jojoba. Mix the ingredients well and let cool. You can add up to 0.2% vitamin E (tocopherol).

Emulsion: melt up to 5% cocoa butter in the oily phase. In the past, cocoa butter was also used as the base for making suppositories. This remains a valid solution. In this case, it is useful to equip yourself with a suppository mold.

Skin

Suitable for tired, mature, normal, sensitive and dry skin.

Recommended in case of dehydration, loss of firmness and wrinkles, sensitivities and dryness of the face. On the body it is also used as an after-sun lotion and in case of chafing, irritations and stretch marks.
